2.2 Understand a flight check result

The result combines the selected planning values with rules and information for the checked location or area.

Read the result status

The result heading is one of:

• Cannot Fly — the proposed operation conflicts with a blocking rule.
• Can Fly - With Conditions — the operation may proceed only when every displayed condition is met.
• Information — relevant information is available and must be reviewed.
• OK 2 Fly — no blocking rule was returned for the values checked.

Apple

The result heading is Cannot Fly, Can Fly - With Conditions, Information or OK 2 Fly. Read all returned rows even when the overall result allows the proposed flight.

Web

The result heading is Cannot Fly, Can Fly - With Conditions, ok2fly - Information or ok2fly. Read the full Flight Info list; the heading alone is not the complete result.

WARNING

A result that does not show a blocking rule is not an operational clearance. It only reflects the location, time and planning values checked with the information available to the service. Recheck if any of those values change.

Confirm the checked values

Review the result's supporting rows, including:

• Approximate Location
• Coordinates or the checked search area
• Elevation
• Forecast
• Timing, including local flight time and daylight start and end

Also confirm the pilot type, visual radius, maximum altitude and duration shown in the map footer or settings summary.

Review conditions and nearby landmarks

Read each rule and condition in the order shown. Local landmarks identify relevant points within the configured visual radius and may also include nearby airports or heliports outside that radius.

Select an available landmark or detail control to open more information. Subscriber-only detail controls are shown only when the account has access.

Apply a result adjustment

Some results offer a response-dependent adjustment, such as a lower maximum altitude, shorter duration or later start time.

1. Read the rule that caused the condition.
2. Select the offered altitude, duration or start-time adjustment.
3. Wait for Ok2Fly to rerun the check.
4. Review the complete replacement result.

Use map styling with the result

Android Apple Web

Airspace and airport-related objects can use outlines, fills, patterns and labels. Their presentation can change with the selected flight time, pilot type and active status.

Red objects commonly accompany a blocking or conditional result, while orange objects commonly accompany a conditional or positive result. The colour by itself does not determine the outcome.

Do not infer permission to fly from an outline, fill or colour. Review the complete flight-check result, the selected object details and current official information.
