5.4 Monitor and close an operation plan

Monitor the newest server-reported state throughout the flight, then close the plan after the operation has finished. Start only after Ok2Fly has confirmed that the plan is active.

Monitor the active operation

1. Open Operation Plans and select the active plan.
2. Confirm that the current state is Activated.
3. Open the active-flight view.
4. Review the operation title, planned end time and remaining-time display.
5. Keep access to Ok2Fly available for new overlap events, operating-rule constraints and service messages.

The timer shows the remaining active time calculated from the plan's end time. The operation-plan list can show time beyond the planned end when an active plan becomes overdue.

The newest state returned by Ok2Fly takes precedence over an earlier notification, screenshot or result. Closing the active-flight view does not close a confirmed active plan or automatically stop its monitoring. Reopen the plan from Operation Plans to continue reviewing it.

WARNING

Do not assume that a plan has closed because its planned end has passed or the connection to Ok2Fly was interrupted. Confirm the server-reported Closed state.

Respond to live overlap changes

FIMS can report that an overlapping plan was added, updated, removed or closed at any time. Ok2Fly refreshes the public conflict information and current plan state needed to reassess the operation.

1. Read the newest event and identify the affected plan.
2. Review the updated timing, trajectory and geometry that Ok2Fly provides.
3. Follow the applicable operating procedure.
4. Continue to use the newest information shown by Ok2Fly.

An acknowledgement applies only to the set of information that was displayed. It does not resolve an overlap or override a later operating-rule block.

Respond to an operating-rule alert

If a new blocking rule affects an active plan, Ok2Fly can issue an urgent constraint alert.

WARNING

If Ok2Fly displays LAND IMMEDIATELY, follow the approved landing procedure immediately. Acknowledging the alert confirms receipt only; it does not mean that the aircraft has landed or that the operation plan is closed.

1. Read the complete alert and identify the affected plan.
2. Take the operational action required by the alert.
3. Select Acknowledge when acknowledgement is required.
4. Wait for Ok2Fly to rerun its checks and refresh the open active-flight view.
5. Review the newest plan state and any remaining constraints.

An alert can arrive while activation is being confirmed, during the active operation or while the flight is ending. An earlier successful check does not override a newer blocking result.

Send an operational status alert

The Apple active-flight view can provide Alert for sending the operation's current status to FIMS.

WARNING

Send an operational status only in accordance with the operator's approved procedure. Select the category that accurately describes the current operation and check it before submission.

1. Open the active-flight view for the correct plan.
2. Select Alert.
3. Review the available status categories.
4. Select the category that describes the current operation.
5. Confirm the submission and wait for the service response.

The available categories can range from normal operation to a rogue-drone alert. Do not use an urgent category as a test message.

End the flight and confirm closure

WARNING

Select End Flight only after the aircraft operation has finished. This action tells FIMS that the active flight has ended.

1. Open the active-flight view for the correct plan.
2. Select End Flight.
3. Check the plan in the confirmation, then confirm the action.
4. Wait while Ok2Fly submits the request and receives the closure result.
5. Confirm that the plan is Closed and appears under Plan History.

End-of-flight processing can complete after the initial request has been accepted. Ok2Fly waits for the closure event and, if required, refreshes the plan directly. Only after closure is confirmed does it stop the flight timer and cancel the live conflict watch.

If Closed does not appear, refresh the operation plans and inspect the latest state before repeating the action.

Monitor and end a flight from Apple Watch

The Ok2Fly app must have been started on the paired iPhone before using its Apple Watch companion.

1. Open Operation Plans on Apple Watch.
2. Select the active plan to open Active Flight.
3. Review the flight title and remaining-time countdown.
4. Read any FIMS alert associated with the plan.
5. Select Acknowledge when the alert requires acknowledgement.
6. After the aircraft operation has finished, select End Flight.
7. Confirm the resulting plan state in Ok2Fly on the paired iPhone.

Operation-plan events also appear as regular Watch notifications. Selecting a notification opens the Ok2Fly companion so you can review the related plan.
