2.1 Set the flight time
Set when the proposed flight will begin so Ok2Fly can apply time-dependent airspace, notices, advisories, daylight and forecast information.
Check a flight at the current time
Use the current-time option when the proposed operation is about to begin. Ok2Fly applies a short processing margin when it submits the check.
- Open Flight Time.
- Under Planned Flight Time, select Use Current Time.
- Select Done, then run the flight check again.
Check a flight at a later time
- Open Flight Time.
- Use Date / Time, or use Now Plus to select Now, a 5–45 minute offset, 1 hour or 2 hours.
- Select Done. The selected time takes effect immediately.
Changing the time refreshes time-dependent map information, notifications and advisories. Run the location check again and confirm that the result shows the intended local flight time.
Recheck temporary airspace for the selected time
The selected flight time, rather than only the current clock time, controls whether supported temporary airspace appears staged or active. Changing between Now, a relative offset and a fixed date and time reevaluates that presentation.
INFO
An outline can provide advance awareness of temporary airspace that is not active at the selected time. Always use the complete flight-check result and current object details to determine how the airspace affects the proposed operation.
Confirm the location time zone
Review Timing in the flight-check result. Ok2Fly calculates the local time at the proposed flight location and shows daylight start and end.
WARNING
If the result says the flight location uses a different time zone from the device, confirm the displayed local flight time before relying on time-dependent conditions or requesting an authorisation.
