4.1 Manage RPA devices

Create an accurate device record before requesting an airspace authorisation. Device management requires a signed-in subscriber account with access to the authorisation service.

Add an RPA device

Android Apple Web

Android

1. Open Mission Manager > RPA Devices.
2. Select Add new RPA.
3. Enter Model, Serial, Weight and Type.
4. Enter weight in kilograms, or append lowercase g when entering grams.
5. Select OK.

All fields are mandatory, weight must be greater than zero and Type cannot remain Unknown.

Apple

1. Open Mission Manager > RPA Devices.
2. Select Add New.
3. Enter Model Name/Description, Serial Number, RPA Type and Weight.
4. Select Add New to save the record.

Model, serial and a type other than Unknown are required. Weight must be greater than zero and less than 25 kg.

Web

1. Open Open Options Sidebar > SERVICES > Device Manager.
2. Select Add.
3. Enter Manufacturer & Model, Serial Number, Registraion Number, Weight (g/kg) and Device Type.
4. Select Save.

Model, serial and registration are required. Weight cannot exceed 25 kg and Device Type cannot remain Unknown.

Available types include Fixed Wing, Helicopter, Multi Rotor, Powered Lift and Airship.

Create a separate, accurate device record for every RPA that might be used. An authorisation applies only to the device selected in its request, so operations involving different RPA require separate requests.

Update an RPA device

1. Open Mission Manager > RPA Devices.
2. Select the device row.
3. Change the required fields, then select OK.

Apple

1. Open Mission Manager > RPA Devices.
2. Swipe the device from right to left and select Modify.
3. Change the required fields, then select Modify to save.

Web

1. Open Device Manager and select the device.
2. Select Modify.
3. Change the required fields, then select Save.

Delete an RPA device

Android Apple Web

WARNING

On Apple, Delete removes the device immediately without a confirmation prompt. Confirm the selected row before swiping and deleting it.

Android

Open RPA Devices, select the delete control beside the device, then confirm the Yes/No prompt.

Apple

Open RPA Devices, swipe the device from right to left, then select Delete.

Web

Open Device Manager, select one or more devices, select Delete, then confirm the requested deletion.
