4 Airspace authorisations
Eligible ReOC operators can use an Ok2Fly result to request and manage an automated airspace authorisation.
Prepare for airspace authorisations
Before starting:
- Sign in to the Ok2Fly account associated with the operation.
- Confirm that the account has an active subscription.
- Set Pilot Type to the applicable ReOC option.
- Confirm that the service recognises the account as authorised for the ReOC.
- Add the RPA device that will conduct the operation.
The authorisation controls are conditional. Mission Manager, Airspace Authorisations or Request Authorisation appears only when the account and flight result are eligible.
WARNING
Use these controls only when you are authorised to act for the ReOC and can make the declaration shown during the request. An Ok2Fly account or subscription does not itself provide that authority.
Activate authorisation access
If Manage User Account shows that airspace authorisations are not active:
- Open Open Options Sidebar > USER > Manage Account.
- In the airspace-authorisation section, select Activate.
- Enter the authorised ReOC holder's Email / Username and Password.
- Select Activate and wait for the account status to update.
To end the delegation, return to Manage User Account and select Deactivate. Use Change only when the authorisation password must be updated.
Confirm authorisation access
Confirm that Mission Manager is visible on the map. It contains Authorisations and RPA Devices.
In Settings, confirm that Airspace Authorisation identifies the authorised ReOC. Mission Manager becomes available when the account and selected pilot type are eligible.
Open Open Options Sidebar > SERVICES. Confirm that Airspace Authorisations and Device Manager are available.
Continue to Request an airspace authorisation after checking the proposed flight area.
The illustrated automated-authorisation grid shows the maximum requestable altitude in each supported cell. A displayed grid value does not itself authorise an operation; submit a request for the exact area, time, altitude and RPA, then comply with the returned status and conditions.
