2.3 Review location and airspace details
Open supporting detail from the result before deciding whether the proposed operation can proceed.
Review additional object details
- Run a flight check.
- Select an available detail control beside a result or landmark.
- Read every server-labelled field and follow any applicable link.
- Use Zoom or the map control, when available, to return to the map with the object's geometry highlighted.
Detailed drill-down is a subscriber feature. Depending on the selected object, available fields can include its identifier, name, activity, controlling authority, contact details, altitude bounds, active status, schedules, NOTAMs, tower hours and communications frequencies.
Review airfield information and communications
Open Airfield Details from an airfield result. Use Details to review items such as coordinates, elevation, type, forecast area and tower hours. Use Comms to review available frequencies and phone information.

Confirm aerodrome and communications information against current official sources before an operation. Nearby-airfield information in Ok2Fly is supporting context, not an aerodrome briefing.
Review PRD and NOTAM activation
Open the available PRD Details or NOTAM Details from the result.
Review the schedule, NOTAM text, authority, contact and planning information provided. Check ACTIVATION TIMES (LOCAL) or Active against the selected flight time.
Times shown in red indicate that the proposed flight would occur during scheduled activity.
Interpret temporary airspace timing
FIMS temporary airspace can include:
- TRA — Temporary Restricted Area
- TPA — Temporary Prohibited Area
- TDA — Temporary Danger Area
- TMOA — Temporary Military Operating Area
Apple can display temporary-airspace geometry before its overall start time. An outline and label indicate that the object is staged or inactive for the selected flight time. Active styling appears when the selected time is within an applicable period and one of that period's schedules is active.
When the object has no limited-applicability periods, it is treated as active while the selected time is within its overall validity bounds. Geometry remains visible through its exact end time and is removed only after that time.
Daily and weekly schedules can include periods that cross midnight. Astronomical events that require a location-aware calculation, such as civil twilight, sunrise or sunset, are treated conservatively as inactive when the application cannot calculate them.
WARNING
A staged outline does not mean that temporary airspace is active, and an inactive-looking outline does not replace a current query or activation safety check. Review the object details and the latest flight-check result before operating.
Copy or share result coordinates
Select the copy control beside Coordinates to copy the result's decimal latitude and longitude.
Open an airfield in AvPlan
When AvPlan EFB is installed and the account has access, open Airfield Details and select AvPlan to hand the airfield to AvPlan EFB. Return to Ok2Fly to continue reviewing the flight check.
