5.2 Manage operation plans
Use Operation Plans to confirm the current server-reported state of each plan and take only the action available for that state.
Open the operation-plan list
Access can depend on the account, subscription, region and enabled service. If Operation Plans is missing, confirm that you are signed in with the account and subscription used for the plan.
- Select the menu at the top right of the map.
- Select Operation Plans.
Select X to close the window.
Find a plan and interpret its state
Plans are ordered by start time, with the most recent first, and divided into two sections:
- Pending & Active contains plans that are being prepared or processed, acknowledged or authorised plans, and activated flights.
- Plan History contains plans that are no longer current, including closed, withdrawn and rejected plans.
Each row shows the title, current state and relevant times. On Web, a plan without a title is shown as Untitled Operation Plan. The footer shows the total number of returned plans and a legend for the principal states.
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending, Prepared or Proposed | The plan is being prepared or processed. |
| Acknowledged or Authorized | The plan has reached the state required for activation, subject to timing and the current safety checks. |
| Overdue | The planned start time has passed without activation. |
| Activated | The flight is active. The list shows its remaining time or time beyond the planned end. |
| Closed | FIMS has recorded the end of the flight. |
| Withdrawn | The proposed plan was withdrawn before completion. |
| Rejected | The plan was rejected, denied, revoked or cancelled. |
INFO
Status wording depends on the response returned for that plan. Treat the current state and any associated document displayed by Ok2Fly as authoritative.
View a plan's event history
- Select a plan row. A selection mark appears and the event history expands beneath the row.
- Read the events from newest to oldest.
- Review the event time, resulting plan state, action result and description.
- Select the row again to clear the selection and collapse its history.
The history can briefly show Loading operation plan log…. No log events available means no history was returned. If the log cannot be retrieved, refresh the plans after checking the connection.
More than one plan can be selected for an eligible bulk action. Review, Authorisation, Acknowledgement and Activate require exactly one selected plan.
Choose an available plan action
The action bar changes with the selection and plan state:
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Review | Closes the manager and redisplays the selected plan's geometry-query result and map view. |
| Authorisation or Acknowledgement | Opens the FIMS document returned for one selected plan. |
| Activate | Opens the pre-flight checks for one eligible acknowledged or authorised plan. |
| End Flight | Starts closure of one activated plan. |
| Withdraw | Starts withdrawal of one or more compatible pending plans. |
| Delete | Removes eligible selected records from the displayed plan list. |
Before the activation window, the plan shows when activation will become available. From 10 minutes before the planned start until the planned end, it shows Can Activate and Activate becomes available. An unactivated eligible plan becomes Overdue after its planned start.
Activation still depends on the latest operating-rule and traffic checks. See Activate an operation plan.
INFO
If Acknowledge appears but Ok2Fly reports that the action is not available, leave the plan unchanged and use the acknowledgement or authorisation workflow offered by the current service.
Refresh the operation-plan list
Select Refresh to retrieve the latest list. Refreshing clears current selections and collapses expanded event histories.
The list also refreshes when Ok2Fly receives a plan update while the window is open. Because service events and confirmations can be delayed, refresh before repeating an action whose result is uncertain.
Withdraw pending plans
WARNING
Withdrawing a plan tells FIMS that the proposed operation will not proceed. Confirm each selected plan and scheduled time before continuing.
- Select the eligible pending plan or compatible plans.
- Select Withdraw.
- Check the number of selected plans shown in the confirmation.
- Confirm the withdrawal.
- Wait for the list to refresh and verify that each plan is Withdrawn.
Remove displayed plan records
WARNING
Do not use Delete to resolve an uncertain submission, activation or closure. Refresh first and confirm the current server-reported state.
- Select only records for which Delete is available.
- Select Delete.
- Check the number of selected records in the confirmation.
- Confirm the deletion.
- Verify that the records no longer appear in the list.
Deleting a displayed record does not necessarily erase FIMS, regulatory, audit, safety or authorisation records retained outside the list.
Recover from an empty or failed list
- No Pending or Active Plans means that section has no current plans.
- No Plan History means no historical plans were returned.
- No Operation Plans Found means the account returned no plans.
- A loading indicator remains visible while Ok2Fly retrieves or changes plans.
If retrieval or an action fails, leave the affected plan unchanged, check the connection and sign-in state, then select Refresh. Confirm the new state before repeating the action.
Manage pending plans from Apple Watch
Start Ok2Fly on the paired iPhone before opening its Apple Watch companion.
- Open Operation Plans on Apple Watch.
- Select Refresh to retrieve pending and active plans.
- Review the plan title, time and state.
- Select a pending plan to open its withdrawal view.
- Confirm the plan title, then use the withdrawal action only when the operation will not proceed.
Use Monitor and close an operation plan for active-flight and alert actions. If the Watch does not return a clear result, open Operation Plans on the paired iPhone, refresh the list and confirm the server-reported state before trying again.
