3 Load AVDATA and obstacle databases
AVDATA and obstacle files are copied from the USB drive into SkyView's internal storage.
- Power down SkyView.
- Insert the prepared USB drive into an accessible SkyView USB port.
- Power up SkyView and wait for the normal display to appear.
- Press and hold the two right-most panel buttons until the setup menu appears.

- Select ENTER FULL SCREEN SETUP MENU by pulling the dial to the right.

- Select SYSTEM SOFTWARE, then select LOAD FILES.

SkyView lists compatible data files found on the USB drive. The AIRAC cycle replaces [cycle] in these filename templates:

For example, cycle 2206 uses av_data_AVPLAN_2206.dup. SkyView displays filenames in uppercase.

- Highlight one database file with either panel knob, then pull the knob to the right.
WARNING
Do not power down SkyView or remove the USB drive while a database is loading.
- Press YES to confirm the load. SkyView shows progress and returns to LOAD FILES when finished.

- Repeat steps 7 and 8 for the other database file.
- Remove the USB drive when both loads are complete.

Existing AVDATA and obstacle data is replaced automatically. If networked SkyView displays are installed, the loading display synchronises the databases to the other displays.
If maps and charts are held on a separate USB drive, restart SkyView with that drive inserted.
