1 Prepare for a Dynon update

Before downloading or loading data, make sure you have:

• A USB drive with at least 2 GB of available storage.
• Dynon SkyView operating system version 13.0.3 or later.
• Dynon navigation mapping software version SV-270 or later.
• An AvPlan EFB subscription that includes SkyView or AFS digital chart data.

Follow Dynon's instructions to download and install the required SkyView software.

WARNING

Start each update with an empty USB drive. Replacing files may leave older files that are no longer included in the current package, and SkyView may then load outdated data.

WARNING

Use a USB drive no larger than 32 GB and format it as FAT32. SkyView cannot use higher-capacity drives formatted with an unsupported file system.

Use SanDisk USB 3.1 drives with older SkyView software

Some SanDisk USB 3.1 drives may cause SkyView software earlier than version 16 to remain on the start-up screen. Dynon advises that this issue was corrected in version 16.

If the aircraft uses an earlier release, insert the drive after SkyView has started or use a different USB drive.
