Open New Zealand weather

Available products depend on the account, selected data regions and the information supplied by the weather service.

Android

1. If New Zealand is not listed, open Settings > User Settings and turn on Show New Zealand Data.
2. Select Weather.
3. Expand New Zealand.
4. Select the required briefing service, chart collection or Satellite Imagery.

Apple

1. Select Weather.
2. Under New Zealand, select the required briefing service, chart collection or Satellite Imagery.

Web

1. Select Weather.
2. Expand New Zealand when more than one region is available.
3. Select a chart collection.
4. Select the required chart.

Use Search to filter the charts in the selected collection.

Configure GoPreFlight for New Zealand weather

Web

AvPlan Web uses the GoPreFlight details stored in the active pilot profile to access supported New Zealand meteorological data.

1. Open Pilot Profiles from the account menu.
2. Select the profile used for New Zealand operations.
3. Under GoPreFlight details for New Zealand Pilots, enter the GoPreFlight Username and GoPreFlight Password.
4. Select Save & Set as Used Profile, then confirm that AvPlan displays the GoPreFlight subscription.

WARNING

A Premium GoPreFlight account is required to view SIGMETs in New Zealand on AvPlan Web.

Open a New Zealand briefing service

1. Select Weather > New Zealand.
2. Select Go PreFlight, MetFlight GA or MetJet, when available.
3. Sign in to the selected service and request the required briefing.
4. Return to New Zealand to choose another product.

Apple

1. Select Weather > New Zealand.
2. Select Go PreFlight, MetFlight GA or MetJet, when available.
3. Sign in to the selected service and request the required briefing.
4. Select Close to return to the weather list.

INFO

Service availability and sign-in requirements are controlled by the selected weather provider.

View surface conditions and aviation charts

Android Apple Web

Collections can include surface conditions, graphical area forecasts (GRAFOR), significant weather charts (SIGWX) and graphical SIGMET charts.

1. Select Weather > New Zealand.
2. Select the required chart collection.
3. Select a chart to open it.

Apple

1. Select Weather > New Zealand.
2. Select the required chart collection.
3. Select a thumbnail to open the chart.
4. Select Close to return to the collection.

1. Select Weather.
2. Expand New Zealand.
3. Select the required collection.
4. Select a chart row to open it.

WARNING

Confirm each chart's issue and validity times before use. On Android or Apple, open every chart required offline while the device has a reliable connection.
