9.6 Export and share
Export the logbook as CSV
- Open Logbook > Entries or Draft.
- Open Entry options, the ellipsis beside the selected-entry actions.
- Select Export AvPlan CSV to download
avplan-logbook.csv.
The export contains the full logbook, including drafts and entries on other pages. Search filters and selected rows do not limit the download. You can also select Export CSV in Import with Source set to AvPlan CSV.
INFO
CSV transfers logbook details, not photos, videos or recorded tracks. Durations are exported in minutes, including ICUS and ab-initio instruction given. The export also preserves each entry’s aviation type. Re-importing the file creates new drafts, including for entries that were previously finalised; it does not restore their finalisation status or update existing entries.
Share a logbook entry
A logbook share link opens one saved entry and follows later saved changes to that entry.
WARNING
Anyone with the link can view the shared entry without signing in. Check the crew details, remarks, photos, videos, track and saved weather before creating the link. New links include photos, and attached videos are visible on the shared page.
- Open the entry in Logbook and save any changes, including weather you want to share.
- Find Sharing and select Create Link.
- Select Copy share link and send the link, or open the displayed link to check the shared view.
The shared page shows the available flight details, separately coloured tracks, photos, videos, saved take-off and landing weather, remarks and linked achievements. Use Track Selected: to choose a flight for charts and playback. The recipient can view the entry but cannot edit it or browse your other logbook entries.
To stop access, open the same entry and select Delete within Sharing. This removes the share link, not the logbook entry.
Review weather on a shared entry
Review saved weather for individual take-offs and landings in Flight weather on the shared page.
- Open the share link and find Flight weather. Each card identifies the aerodrome, runway, take-off or landing, UTC time and day or night condition.
- Expand METAR details to read the report and weather values. Check whether it is a Local METAR or Nearby estimate, and how many minutes before the take-off or landing it was issued.
- Where the eye control is available, select Show on map to display that event's weather on the map, or Hide on map to hide it.
The wind display includes estimated XW (crosswind) and HW (headwind) or TW (tailwind) components for the recorded runway, in knots. METAR details includes the available visibility, cloud, temperature, dewpoint, QNH, remarks, density altitude and civil daylight times.
