9.4 Licensing and subscriptions

Eligible accounts can start a free trial. A subscription is required after the trial to continue using subscription features.

Subscriptions are for one pilot and cover a maximum of three signed-in Android or Apple devices.

Purchase and renewal

Android

• Download AvPlan EFB from Google Play.
• Purchase or renew a subscription through the AvPlan subscription page, using the same email address as the app account.
• After purchasing, open Settings > My Account and sign in to retrieve the subscription.

Apple

• Download AvPlan EFB through the Apple App Store.
• Purchase a subscription through Settings > Subscriptions or the AvPlan subscription page.
• Review the billing and renewal terms shown by Apple or the AvPlan website before confirming the purchase.

1. Open Settings > Account > Subscriptions.
2. Select Start Trial Now when offered, Subscribe now to purchase, or Renew Subscription or Renew now to renew an eligible subscription.
3. When an automatic-renewal control is available, use the toggle beside Auto-Renew Enabled or Auto-Renew Disabled to set the required renewal state.

Available subscriptions vary by region and may include base coverage, IFR or Pro upgrades, bundles and specialist data packages. Check the current inclusions and price before purchasing.

Android

Open the AvPlan subscription page to compare the options available for the required region and operation.

Apple

Open Settings > Subscriptions, then review Australian Subscriptions, New Zealand Subscriptions, United States Subscriptions, European Subscriptions or Worldwide Subscriptions as applicable.

Web

Open Settings > Account > Subscriptions. Select Subscribe now to open the current subscription options when no active subscription is available.

Activate a subscription

Android Apple

Subscriptions are linked to the AvPlan account used for the purchase. Use the exact email address and password associated with that account.

1. Open Settings > My Account.
2. Enter the account email address and password.
3. Select Sign In.
4. Confirm that the subscription appears under My Subscriptions.

To create a new AvPlan account instead, select Register.

Apple

1. Open Settings > User Settings > Username.
2. Enter the account email address and password.
3. Select Sign In.
4. Return to Settings > Subscriptions and confirm that the subscription appears under My Subscriptions.

Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive. Record the account details securely.

Manage subscriptions

Android Apple Web

1. Open Settings > My Account.
2. Sign in with the account used to purchase the subscription.
3. Review the subscription and expiry information under My Subscriptions.
4. Purchase or renew through the AvPlan subscription page, then return to My Account to confirm that the subscription is available.

Apple

Open Settings > Subscriptions to view the subscriptions connected to the signed-in account under My Subscriptions.

If a purchased subscription is missing, open Settings > User Settings > Username and confirm that the correct account is signed in. Return to Subscriptions, then select the refresh button.

Subscriptions can also be purchased on this page using the signed-in Apple account.

Web

1. Open Settings > Account > Subscriptions.
2. Review each subscription card and its Active, On Hold or Expired status.
3. Use Expired Shown or Expired Hidden to include or hide expired subscriptions.
4. Select Renew Subscription, Renew now or Subscribe now when the action is available.
5. Use the Auto-Renew Enabled or Auto-Renew Disabled toggle when it is available for the subscription.
6. Select Downloads for subscription-specific downloads.
7. Review Order History below the subscription card.

Download an invoice

Web

Invoices are available for eligible purchases billed through AvPlan Web.

1. Open Settings > Account > Transactions.
2. Find the required purchase.
3. Select Invoice in the Invoice column to download the PDF.

You can also open Settings > Account > Subscriptions, expand the relevant subscription and select Invoice beside the purchase in Order History.

The Invoice control appears only when an invoice is available for that transaction. Purchases billed by an app store use that store's receipt and invoice process.
