Use SMS to review the group’s SMS credit, configure automatic top-ups and manage AvCARS phone numbers.

Select Save in the top-right corner after making changes.
Review the balance
Balance shows the current SMS credit and its status.
Configure automatic top-up
- Enable Auto Top-up.
- Select AUD, NZD or USD.
- Enter the top-up amount.
- Select Save.

Automatic top-up requires a primary payment card.
Manage AvCARS numbers
AvCARS stands for AvPlan Communications and Reporting System. The name draws on airline ACARS, which allows flight crews and dispatch to exchange short operational messages. AvCARS is a focused weather-request service, not a general dispatch messaging channel.
A pilot sends an airport identifier by text message and AvCARS returns available METAR, TAF and ATIS information. The service uses SMS, including supported satellite messaging, so it can provide weather when an internet data connection is unavailable. SMS credit is required and carrier charges may also apply.
The AvCARS area stores phone numbers registered for these weather requests. For an enterprise group, the numbers come from the members’ details.
