10.2 Manage flight plans

Use Flight Plans to provide reusable plan templates to group members. Managing shared templates requires Enterprise Pro and group administrator access.

Share a flight plan template

Only a group administrator can add or change shared templates.

1. Save the source plan in Planning > Flight Plans.
2. Open Settings > Enterprise Cloud.
3. Under the required group heading, select Flight Plans to open Shared Plans.
4. Open the destination folder, or remain at the top level.
5. Select Add Plan, then select the saved plan to share it.

Web

1. Save the source plan under Planning > Flight Plans.
2. Select Cloud > Enterprise Accounts, then open the required account.
3. Select Flight Plans.
4. Select Share Plan.
5. Choose the saved Flight plan and its Destination folder.
6. Select Share.

Use the pagination controls at the bottom of Flight Plans to change the number of items shown or move through the shared templates.

The shared copy is available to members of that group as a template. Changes that a member makes after importing it do not change the shared template.

Sharing creates a template copy. Later changes to the administrator's personal source plan are not published automatically.

Replace an updated shared template

1. Update and save the personal source plan under Planning > Flight Plans.
2. Open Settings > Enterprise Cloud > the required group > Flight Plans.
3. Swipe the old shared plan to the left, then select Delete.
4. Open the destination folder, select Add Plan, then select the updated personal plan.

1. Update and save the personal source plan under Planning > Flight Plans.
2. Open Cloud > Enterprise Accounts > the required account > Flight Plans.
3. Open the old template's actions menu (⋮), select Delete shared plan, then confirm Delete.
4. Select Share Plan, choose the updated personal plan and its Destination folder, then select Share.

Deleting the old template does not remove personal plans that members already imported.

Organise shared templates

• Select Add Folder to create a folder at the current level.
• Open a folder before selecting Add Folder to create a subfolder.
• Swipe a plan or folder to the left, select Move, then choose its destination.
• Swipe a plan to the left and select Delete to remove it.
• Swipe an empty folder to the left and select Delete to remove it.

• Select Add Folder to create a folder at the root level.
• Open a folder's actions menu (⋮) and select Add subfolder or Rename folder.
• Open a template's actions menu (⋮) and select Move plan to place it in another folder.
• Open a template's actions menu (⋮), select Delete shared plan, then confirm Delete to remove it.
• Empty a folder before using Delete folder.

WARNING

Deleting a shared template removes it from the import menu for group members. It does not delete personal copies that were already imported.

Import a shared flight plan

A shared template is imported as a new personal plan. Changes to the imported plan do not affect the group template.

1. Open Planning > Flight Plans.
2. Select the shared-plans button (the document-and-down-arrow symbol).
3. Open the required folder in Shared Plans.
4. Select the plan. AvPlan downloads it into the current personal folder.
5. Review and update the imported plan before using or filing it.

To import a template into Quick Dispatch:

1. Open En Route and select Dispatch Plan.
2. In Quick Dispatch, select Import Plan.
3. Open Shared templates, then select the required template.
4. Review and update the imported stages, aircraft, passengers and assignments.
5. Select Create or Save as required.

WARNING

Confirm every imported value is suitable and current for the intended flight.
