10.1 Manage aircraft

Managing shared aircraft profiles requires Enterprise Pro and group administrator access.

Share an aircraft profile

An Enterprise Pro group administrator can share an editable aircraft profile with members.

1. Open Settings > Enterprise Cloud.
2. Under the required group heading, select Aircraft Profiles.
3. Select Add.
4. Choose a profile under Local Aircraft Profiles.
5. Select Share beside the profile.

1. Open Aircraft and save the profile you want to share.
2. Select Cloud > Enterprise Accounts, then open the required account.
3. Select Aircraft Profiles.
4. Select Share Aircraft.
5. Choose the Aircraft profile, then select Share.

Once shared, the aircraft appears in each member's Aircraft list with a Group tag. If the aircraft is already in a member's list, AvPlan uses that existing profile.

WARNING

Check all profile details and associated aircraft against the approved aircraft data before sharing. Members can edit their group-managed copy, but those edits do not alter the version shared with the group until an administrator selects Update.

Update a shared aircraft profile

Editing a profile in Aircraft does not automatically change the version shared with the group. A group administrator must use Update to share the changes.

1. Edit and save the local aircraft profile.
2. Open Settings > Enterprise Cloud.
3. Under the required group heading, select Aircraft Profiles.
4. Select Update beside the shared profile.

1. Open Aircraft and select the same aircraft profile, whether it is personal or marked Group.
2. Make the required changes and select Save.
3. Return to Cloud > Enterprise Accounts > the required account > Aircraft Profiles.
4. Open the profile's actions menu (⋮), then select Update.
5. Review the confirmation, then select Update.

Update is available after the aircraft profile has been saved more recently than the version currently shared with the group. The profile may be personal or marked Group, including one linked to another group.

Updating shares the complete aircraft profile and all individual aircraft listed under it. When a member has an older profile, AvPlan replaces all its details and makes the aircraft list match the update, including removing aircraft that are no longer present. If the member's profile was saved at the same time or more recently, AvPlan keeps it.

Stop sharing an aircraft profile

1. Open Aircraft Profiles for the required group.
2. Swipe the shared profile to the left.
3. Select Delete.

1. Open Aircraft Profiles for the required account.
2. Open the profile's actions menu (⋮), then select Unshare aircraft.
3. Review the confirmation, then select Unshare.

Once sharing stops, the aircraft is no longer available from the group. Administrators keep it as an editable personal profile. Other members keep it only if they saved it at or after sharing stopped; otherwise AvPlan removes it from their Aircraft list. Existing flights and plans remain.

If the same aircraft is shared again, AvPlan uses an existing profile in the member's Aircraft list. A group profile saved more recently replaces all its details and individual aircraft. Otherwise, the member's profile is kept and the Group tag is restored.
