When the Aus LL GPWT option is selected, thumbnails of all available GPWT charts are displayed in a grid view, grouped by validity period. Tap on a thumbnail to view a chart.

GPWTs show wind and temperature profiles for a three-hour period from the surface to 14,000 ft. A red line shows the flight-plan route and the grid squares it passes through.

Each grid square contains three columns of data:

  • Left column: wind direction in two figures, rounded to the nearest 10°; for example, 270° appears as 27 and 090° appears as 09.
  • Centre column: wind velocity in three figures.
  • Right column: temperature, shown in red for positive temperatures and blue for negative temperatures.

Each row represents an altitude AMSL:

  • 14,000 ft
  • 10,000 ft
  • 7,000 ft
  • 5,000 ft
  • 2,000 ft
  • 1,000 ft
